its great to see someone who is very talented and not simply rich get to fulfill his dreams in the f1 of today. he has had a rough go of it, and through perseverance has succeeded. ocon manifested a fantastic win under enormous pressure, and he did not put a foot (or wheel wrong) ! just magnificent !04-08-2021 10:05

it was an epic battle between two of the best but certainly the weight on each driver respectively was massively different. hamilton is in the title fight of the last 5 years anyway whilst alonso is simply out to prove a point. they're vastly different. alonso had so much less to lose. regardless it was great to watch. max is fast but imo nowhere near the level of skill and finesse possessed by alonso.04-08-2021 10:15

no news here.max can have a temper at times. it happens to many of us. he is young and passionate. of course these qualities will be tempered by experiences and maturation. on his dad's side at least max seems to come from a long line of hot heads. the drama between his father and grandfather could script an episode of jerry springer. there's a lot to be said about the hypothesis that his true talent comes from his mother. this article seems to be trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.04-08-2021 10:25

ooooh bit of a cheap shot from clarkson; the guy who loves cars but doesn't watch any racing.04-08-2021 07:17

two really good drivers going at it hammer and tongs. no crashing but as close as you could get. alonso was pushing the limits of the rules but that's part of his greatness; he can push and bend those rules but not break them. it was a masterclass in racing by two of f1's greats. say what you want about either driver out of the car but in it they are as good as they come.02-08-2021 20:41

alonso still deserves a seat in a top tier f1 outfit. it's too bad he has conducted career seppuku. that battle with hamilton was a masterclass (from both drivers).02-08-2021 20:49

dear mattia binotto, please leave the sport to those who can handle the steam and you can get back to your sweater vest collection, or whatever. your time at the helm of ferrari has been nothing short of disastrous.02-08-2021 22:37
